That's exactly how a deer does it to hunters..you enter their world and they know anytime something is out of place

I do not care about scent elimination.. I actually use scent to an advantage. My cat is indoor and outdoor we have seen it a mile back in the woods while hunting. My one friend is obsessed with scent control and complains the cat will lay on his stuff or will scent it up.. but if you think about it the cat is in the woods 365 days a year. Its scent is well known to the deer. If you smell like the cat then the deer are familiar and ignore you. Always take time to scratch the cat before I go out the door.. and yes the cat is known to climb up in the deer stand with me and watch for deer for hours.. My friends success rate is much lower than mine and other who dont care about scent control.

I found it easier just to give the whole thing away...lol.. lots of doe tags that year as well.. back. When we took. 20 plus deer a year out of camp. Freezer was filled easily... It was the onlyy deer I ever gagged gutting was stained from hocks to hooves. Nauseating stench you could smell.from yards away..

this buck was 8.5 years old and had lost about 1/2 its time length from the year before. was toughest meat I ever tried to eat..ground was like chewing on rubber bbs.. good luck with him. I firmly believe more big buck die of old age in a secluded home range than most hunters think .

Cattaraugus. Tax auction. Most sold for Penny's on the accessment Cheapest piece went for 5 dollars. Piece I got was most expensive but I had lot of people bidding against me. But still few thousand below accessment. ( I already owned 3 side of property and had many " road hunters" trying to get it

Why NY deer hunters are the BEST deer hunters
G-Man replied to Iluvracks1359's topic in Deer Hunting
Drive is good but it's the little things that make the difference. One guy I hunt with is out all day tries every scent and call available but yet cant ger a big one when everyone else around him can.. drives him crazy.. followed his tracks in the snow and found 1 reason right away.. he doesnt move into and skirt cover and openings.. a straight line down the ridge where he can see far ..but a deer sees even farther.. it's a little simple thing. He never realised he was doing.. -
Why NY deer hunters are the BEST deer hunters

I dont know if you can grow big bucks. I have a few I've had on camera that are also on camera 4 miles away. The property size here is much smaller A good sized plot here is 30 to 50 acres. Iowa averages 400 plus. Same as Missouri and much of ohio. Not that three aren't smaller properties or larger in each state. But 2 guys on 400 acres is much different than 20 on 400.. deer in NY ste survivors and many are taken by dumb. Luck behind someone's barn or in that little patch of brush on the hill everyone walks by.. That being said I would put an average NY hunter against any of the TV hosts out west and I bet they hold more than their own. -
9/1 would be best for me. And bucks should be losing velvet so pics to be shared should be good..lol

My mower has a pressure switch under the seat (stupid safety device) it can usually be jumped by 2 wires but when I do that it will start but not run when the clutch is released. My question is is this some kind of resistance switch that I'll need to remove and buy a small pair of vice grips to squeeze it harder or can wires just be cut and wirenutted together. I am old enough and smart enough not to put my body in harm's way under the deck while it's running but I cant stand restarting the thing everytime I get off to move targets and other obstruction while mowing.

G-Man replied to Robhuntandfish's topic in Deer Hunting
The 1st 5 years I had the property was none that were on camera. Now 2 or 3 at least a year. Of course 25 years ago 35mm cameras one only 2..now 12 cameras digital.with nearly unlimited picture capacity -
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/380837039078817 in all honesty this is what you want.. can add sprayer 1 bottom. Tiller anything turf tires for.mowing.. and parts are available

I have the same tractor with a blown clutch or shifting fork at present. I use a pallet jack with a 4x4 piece of plywood for retrieving deer and carring firewood out. Strap an old truck window gun rack to the roll bar and your all set bow or gun although I run all 4 tire chains and have another 150lbs on the front..my hill is steep..

If your looking for new in all honesty kioti gives you most bang for the buck. Gpm on hydraulic pump, lift capacity on 3pt, and.lift capacity on loader. All things you want in a tractor for making plots and mowing. If your really just doing trails you may want to look into a flail mower vs a brush hog. Will do lawn and trails .I'mplemts can be found at agrisupply .com and everything implement.com. if your going used I'd look for a cub cadet lowboy, or a famall 300 utility or a ford 8 or 9 n.. they are all low tractors that can move thru woods a d have enough horsepower to run 4 or 5 ft brush hogs or mowers no problem.. if your staying on flat land you do not need 4wheel drive. The gearing and tire size will do all you need and save you thousands.

A cub cadet lowboy with a 54 inch belly.mower.. will plow disk and plant as well as keep your lawn looking stylish
