Working... few days off next couple of weeks , reset some cams yesterday and this am. Can't wait to not have phone ring for work for few days.

No bear this little guy showed up.. this is a stand I usually give to youth / new hunters as there is always something to get a shot at if wanted..

Yes were 7/8 stock planted and caged in 2x4 wire 6ft tall for 1st 10 years.

Tonights view,, Planted this 5 tree orchard 15 years ago, WI clover ,overseeded with winter rye.. a 3 in one little plot that draws lots of game

Got in stand in orchard hoping to catch a bear that's been coming to the apples ..not here 3 min and this guy came to entertain

They did pretty well hitting someone. by law they had to practice every day.. arrows were expensive they weren't wasted in volleys like the movies portraits. They were also bodkin pointed to penetrate plate mail armor..

Bear tend to sit and pull grass to them along with corn, grain, raspberry blueberry. And make a circle if more oval and not pulled to center it prolly a deer

Doubt it 150 lb pull on English long bows... these guys take easy route using compounds with 85% or more let off. And then say how easy a x bow is compared to their bow......

Was a good day for youth here.. red brought his son down after his plans of a Erie County hunt were ruined and my friend Pam her son Evan .. was slow morning and Reds son had to get home.for hockey.. Pam and her son Dylan returned to hunt in evening going to same spot the kicked a nice buck out in the am walking in. Deer started entering the soybean field at 4pm and at 550 this guy stepped out across field. After calming nerves he made a good shot 150 yards hitting liver . I was attending 80 b day party for my.mother so they Sen me a photo and it looked like liver to me ,I requested they wait a couple hours as they were unfamiliar with property. A short track and this guy was laying , I m not sure who was more excited mother or son! A big congrats to Dylan Wenke! The worse part of this is 99% of huntable land in Erie County is privately owned .. so he just basically said nope don't care if you own it you can't do this in it..

Yes we need a state constitutional amendment for right to hunt and fish to be managed by game department, and remove politics completely from the equation

Deer have to eat ,move , and look for others regardless of the weather.. our comfort of " hunting weather" is of no concern to them.... but at least most hunters stay home so deer remain unprepared and patterenable

Bees in my hives are very docile can be inches from hives and they just fly around you .. all depends on the queen . Hope you have a gentle hive there
