Working from buffalo to albany ,biggest change is utica east so far few trees here and there greens turning yellow, lot of corn brown as is soybean. Home in cuba ashes and maples are starting to change

Thats easy fix shim under scope on ring closest to you reye , a small piece of aluminum flashing will be enough simply loosen top clamp on scope rings slide under scope at close ring and retighten. Can use more than one if needed. I cut it in a thin strip so its covered by scope and ring and you never see it.. beer can aluminum works well but is thinner than flashing so you may need to double or triple up the shims.

Kale is very palatable before frost as is radish a lot of mixes are heavy nonforage brassica , if you have local ag store nearby finding forage varieties will compensate for heavy browsing vs the commercial "mixes"

Late frost / snow wiped out most apples and nuts here this year ,where there are pockets it should be very hot area, foodplots will be more important this year later season for sure.

The only.one i feel could be legit is the rompola buck, he didn't want to put up with media bull shit but seems to have take many other respectable buck. Even had video , no one ever came forward with picture of buck someplace else to disprove it . Unlike this guy who immediately was disproven. Seemed so fed up he said f it and signed agreement to not enter buck in books.. still no one has come forward with evidence to prove his buck was a high fence.. some day truth will be known and perhaps his will become record.

It simply comes down to some people are submissive and others are not. People grow up and are told what to do and when. And it carries over to their adult lives, they need that comfort in their lives. Others chose to walk the proverbial path less traveled. Unfortunately the path is harder to find in a need to fit in and comply world. These people have had enough of the fences and concrete put in their path and have stepped up their fight response.

So many doe around this year as we knew the population was downnand only took 3 instead of our normal 10.. crazy looking out kitchen window and seeing 11 deer in plot just in front of house... cut doe tags way back here this year so guys will need to use bow ,crossbow or muzzleloader this year to get their meat. Nephew came over from college and we shot bows this evening.. he did very weĺl 9 of 10 all kill shots one went high. 1st time shooting bow and he'd kill a deer to 25 yards no problem. Looking forward to him shooting his 1st deer with a bow or gun this year, even though hes killled a bear already on a youth hunt.

Hope you get a chance at them before they brown up or are picked..

I was and am all for early doe season but I think it should of been earn a buck as well, kill 3 doe get a buck tag for that area for early season.. some of these areas are against no hunting areas and are lousy with doe. Access is limited and I think you would see more participants with an earn a buck as most seem more interested in antlers than population control.

Bobcats are a efficient predator. Turkey are targeted.. fortunately there is a season to trap and hunt them

Check county tax sales, can get large parcels fairly cheap. So much down and then rest required in a time frame of 30 days or so.. each county requirements are different .

The problem in western areas is a lot is private land and has no access. So all the extra permits will remain unfilled they should of went to a shoot 3 doe and get a bonus buck tag for that area and I'm sure they would achieve their quotas quickly. Same I see so many biologically wrong posts about does and fawns all over social media saying how it will decimate the deer population.. yet they are all for following Pennsylvania antler restrictions yet forget that they killed doe a lot of type to balance the herd 1st....

Don't have one and still use no vest.. old school I guess. But I can hang a stand in 5 min..

No reason to burn 1st choice as they are easy given 2nd choice , and yes private land in most areas isn't hunted now. So I don't see much increase.. they would of been better making a shoot 3 doe now and we give you a buck tag now.. then you would see the population drop quickly .
