If you sign in to site you are greeted by years old articles , perhaps delete or pin a new one to beginning.. this looks so amateurish, dated ,irrelevant.. can't grow the site if it looks dead and or dying.... I don't think I am alone in seeing this .. perhaps start a poll.. something needs to be done imo

Cause your camera is in a field!!! Hunt trail. Leading to that field 300 yards in woods and you can kill those buck.. to many hunters are visual.... who cares if you see 4000 deer a season if they are across a field I'd rather everyone I see be in range and my choice to take or not

The question is what happens in 50 years when the old heads are found in grandpa's attic and they become the new world records.. is there a way or are they now permanently marked as coming from a high fence?
-
So basically an earn a buck hunt.. coming soon to all the early doe only areas I'd bet....
-
Anyone ever think that àll the old deer head finds that are in the book were farm raised? It's a possibility... hole in the horn jumped the fence and got hit by a train. Not like today's high fence deer have ( raised in a fence embossed on their antlers) what happens 50 years from now when a monster head is found in gramps attic? Just a thought.. do you have any input fourseasons?? Is there a way of marking a pen raised deer as such permanently in the craft now?

Ooh don't forget the .204 ruger
-
The problem is someone uses one of these calibers and writes it up as the low recoil gun of choice and proved it works.. when you go on a guided hunt they recomend calibers for the game your hunting ,I doubt any of those will come up as a recommended caliber.. I know for bear they recommend 30 cal and up where I have hunted but you will hear people scream a .243 will kill a bear and they've done it ( they never seem to tell that they custom load their own rounds with special bullets) Responsibility I feel is giving advice using common available factory rounds.

Wear your harness but more importantly take down your stands after the season!! Parts rust, wear, rot ect.. almost all accidents I hear are from.stands that have been left of for years, some decades!! The I change straps every year is much easier done on the ground prior to being put up than trying to do it while hung.. I get flack from taking down 30 stands a year and putting them back up 95% on same trees I took them out of.. but my friends and family are using them and if I can jump on them 2 ft off the ground with 240lbs and they hold I know they will be OK for use. I have replaced cables, bolts ,straps and whole attachment systems on stands that go back to late 80s. Proper maintenance/ up keep is the 1st step in reducing your chance of a fall.

By camera history yes he is at least 3.5 , maybe older. I have pics for 3 years. But he may of been a sub legal spike that I can't tell year before . So possibly 4.5 ..

To bad it wasn't this one.. don't like the thought of him breeding at all..
-
Well he's in hard horn now.. hope he sticks around a d gets an arrow between his ribshere is a 1.5 year old spike with a 2.5 or older doe for comparison
