If we don't get some rain pretty soon, we may not have to be thinking about an October 1st bow opener. They might decide to close the woods down. I'm telling you, it is getting ridiculous out there. It would take absolutely nothing to get a fire started. i'm starting to wonder if my well is going to survive. I've never seen it tested to this extent before.

my cousin live in pavilion and "just in case" they have a holding tank in basement they have filled it up 2 -3 times this summer

no kidding...it's bad when you walk across green grass and it crunches!!...no ferns and all weeds in the woods(shade) wilted...some of our ground looks like the cracks go right down to the shale bed...and the yard..drive... woods are already under leaf cover...Saturday night we were driving home and some nut had a bomfire with flames that looked 30ft tall..it was huge out in the area of a cut clover field they'd just sprayed with liquid manure 5 days ago...little risky IMO...I feel for all of us this winter....

i used bug spray yesterday. not sure if it was that is what kept the bugs away or the light breeze..... so i was fine then but saturday was torturous ..........

I was just commenting the other day that even the weeds are starting to die off.

I dont dare mow the lawn at all at the new house, I dont want to damage what grass there is that isnt brown. I am also watching the forecast each day, as I really want to put some fertilizer down, but need rain to do it.

It's not that there's so many but the ones that are there are getting mighty thirsty .... lol.

U must have got the storm that went south of us at 2:30p.m.. Getting heavy rain fall with thunder and lightning. Started a little after 3. Poor drainage flooding. Wow, is it coming down.

Webster had a few hard rain showers today, like one right now.Wife in E.Roch said down pour there too.

Great i was going down early tomorrow to put up last ladder and fine tune another,I hate wet woods.

We just had a great rain and still coming!! We haven't really seen anything like this since sometime in May. The ground around here is really parched. Praise the Lord!!

Well, just looked at the rain gauge. Since 3 p.m., 1 8/10 inches and still raining. Glad I planted wheat and turnips yesterday. Will help the oats which were planted week ago, just coming up- Somehow? Do have some standing water.

I heard the news guy say that we got 1.2" at the airport this afternoon, most rain in a day since April 28th. Holy Kielbasa!!!!!
