I can never understand why they want to Ban and tax cigs but they want to legalize harder drugs? Oh wait maybe because their base is a bunch of pot smoking, brain dead, lazy azz, jobless, occupy wallstreet, socialist, hippies? Much easier to control if your brain is fried.

NO! have you seen any occupy videos? You can't tell me that any of those "kids" smoke pot, are jobless or are brain dead hippies.

I know its off topic but go to youtube and punch in Sean Hannity interviews occupy leader. This guy is the poster child for brain dead parasites and he's one of the leaders.

I was on a flight from Miami to JFK once. I ended up getting a seat next to a kid (looks to be 12-14 years old) that was grossly overweight. I was literally pressed up against the window and his thigh was up in my seat. I kept thinking to myself, I could have sworn I paid for a full seat so how come I am only getting half a seat?

About cigarettes? Thats a whole other can of worms.. lets stick to one ridiculous liberal "feel good" tax before moving on to another. Plus.. that is one that we can no longer do much about and that I am also against... I'm okay with restrictions on smoking in public places, but defintiely not on taxing tobacco products. I love how liberals are okay with legalizing pot smoking but want to ban cigarettes... makes absolutely no sense. Maybe you want it legalized so that you can tax that too.

The question that always pops into my mind is, Why don't they simply declare tobacco a controlled substance and ban it which would be the honest way of conducting business? Instead they use the tax system to perform their behavior modification activities. When they had all their successes using the tax code for behavior modification, I knew it would be something that they would fall in love with and use freely in all kinds of situations. And all the US citizens cheered the methods and gladly accepted this corruption of the tax system. They loved it!

Same thing with Alchohol, they keep bitchen about people getting DWIs why not ban it again? Because they make to much money on it. They could give a sh---t if you die.

Did King Bloomberg make a law (dictate) how many packs of cigarettes a person can buy at one time??? Virgil!! help me out here. Answer must be "HELL YEAH!!" But honestly , Im not sure.

They would never make cigs illegal they make to much money on it now that it's $10 a pack. And I bet not one red cent of it go's to offset medical expenses like they first said they were going to use it for.

Not by legislating a limit- but by taxing the hell out it, they can achieve the desired effect, which is that people will buy less cigarettes, more people will decide to quit, and there will be a decrease in the number of new smokers. Plus, the tax revenue generated can offset the healthcare costs associated with smoking as well as fund the educational/advertising programs designed to reduce the number of smokers and encourage/assist people to quit smoking.

I could be wrong about this, but as far as i understand, there are both federal and state taxes. I believe the federal tax money is specifically earmarked for certain programs. As far as the state tax money, i believe it's done differently in each state with some doing a better job than others of actually directing that money where it's supposed to versus dumping it into the state's general fund.
