African Cat = Thruway Roadkill

[Cabin Fever]

I just heard about this at a family party. Someone showed me a pic that someone else took of it and sent to them. Claimed it was hit on the thruway. (We've all seen those kinds of pics before, only to find out it was taken across the country somewhere!) Anyway, I did a google search and found it was legit.

I suspect it was an escaped pet.  We had a Bengal Tiger roaming the woods of Central NJ once.  I was never determined for certain where it came from either.

If it has a chip , they should be able to tell whether or not it came from Glenn Donnelly’s place ........

One of those news reports said that it was first reported as a 150 pound leopard! No wonder why we have mountain lions in NY.

Weird... looking at the pic its exotic no doubt. wonder where it came from, if it was a legal pet dont you think someone would have claimed it?

Wow this is got to be the craziest thing found as road kill.

Not really, when I moved back 20 years ago I put my bow in a soft case in the back of the pickup. Well after heading on to the highway the air catches the bow and out it flies.

It gets run over by a semi. Roadkill no doubt, it was in a million pieces!!!!!!

I heard the DEC with the insurance companies are stocking them - the tracking collar must have come off in the accident.

This was from a guy who has no reason to make it up. ;D
