BuckTracker
Figured I share my success, Finally found my first shed antler ever!! Was just walking around the middle of some hardwoods this morning following some tracks and there is was. I saw just the antler beam and g3 looking me in the eye, I couldnt believe it!! Put some leather to the ground the past spring looking mulitiple areas for sheds, dumb luck I guess!

First-light
I found a half 8 pt while looking for the deer my brother shot this year. Like you said it was moldy, green stuff all over it. Clearly from last year. Congrats on the find, nice shed!

Four Season Whitetail's
That buck was probably sick for some reason or maybe wounded. I have had them shed in early Dec before but there was always something wrong with the buck!
GreeneHunter
So soon .... surprising ...fighting ?

Did they recover and drop at normal times the following year or drop early again?
BuckTracker
Think it has been sitting for a season, but just in awsome condition. It has some chew on the tip of the g3 and some nawing on the tip of the main beam and brow. Despite that, it has great coloration in the base region for sitting alomst a year. So lucky to finally find one. It was like touching a tit for the first time!!!
wooly
LMAO- perfect analogy!!! I'll never look at an antler the same way again! I wanna touch them all!

HuntOrBeHunted
I've yet to find one. Did you end up finding both or just the one?
erussell
dang it!! Now im going to miss seeing alot of deer because ill be looking at the ground for sheds. I knew there was a reason i wasnt seeing any bucks, they have evolved to drop their antlers at the first sign of gun season.
