This morning at around 7:30. First Tom in three years. 9 1/2" beard spurs are just shy of 1 1/4".  Shot on state land... It's about time !

Congrats Ants! I called it quits at 10:30 and came in out of the rain for a nap. One last shot tomorrow morning. If it happens it happens, if not then I start counting down to Oct 1st.

Congrats on a fine gobbler, Ants !

It's been a tough season..Many of my friends who are seasoned gobbler hunters have struck out this season...

Yeah..I hear ya. a lot of my friends haven't done too well either. Year before last I got skunked and last year I missed the whole season because I was hurt. So Im still smiling. I almost didn't go out today but my buddy kept razzing me so we went. Thats how the luck goes I guess. Heading back out Mon. to try and call one in for him.   Thanks and good luck to all.
