PWGUNNY
I love Cabela's. By far, my favorite store. Building way upstate will only hurt me with sales tax on my internet order. It would be nice if they put in a mega-store or an outpost store at least somewhere close to LI. Monticello area or near Woodbury Commons. NYBuckHunter27
The big Lowes store sits empty right now, right across from Home Depot. Batavia had been growing a few years ago, not so much today. The brakes have been put on. As far as a Cabelas location, Walden Ave. in Cheektowaga, is an idea spot to draw NY, PA., OH, and Canadian customer alike. On a personal level, it may not be such a great location, as I may become "over drawn" alot, If it's anything like their Hamburg, PA. location, LOL. Dick's is going into that Lowes location, apparently by this fall.

pewlodar
If I recall correctly, the Hamburg, PA store is 240,000 sq ft. You could fit 3 NY stores in it.
