Actually a quick Google search shows that it definitely is a pelvic bone. It is the small size of it that has me fooled. I don't think that it is a deer. I'm guessing that it is a fox or coyote.

If I had WAY too much time on my hands I could go out to my garbage tote, pull the exact same bone out, boil it and then post up pics.

 

Unfortunately I'm very busy.  I still have my jammies on, watching football, banging away on the 'net with all the knowledge I can muster........

I've done quite a bit of paleontological work 25years plus on digs from dinosaur to ice age and historical archeology sites and it is a hip , pics aren't good enough to pick up feature needed for identification, but it is canine.

Serious opinions were given. I believe the consensus was pelvic bones. Some good natured humor followed, but thats all it was. No name calling, nothing mean. I would think that even the most "perpetual adolescent" would be able to see that.
