Bet you won't see this on CNN. Unfortunate thing is homeowner wasn't a better shot and a lot of taxpayer's dollars will go into trying and imprisoning the surviving perp. Not to condone the taking of another individual's life, but if they choose a life of crime it becomes an occupational hazard. Need to see many more of these types of stories, great publicity for crime prevention.

This is a great story.  It's unfortunate that it comes around the same time as the concealed carrier that was gunned down while trying to intervene in Nevada.

The news rarely reports it because it doesn't fit the anti gun agenda. The corrupt media picks and chooses what shootings to report on. Home owner uses a gun to defend him/herself against criminals?…Nope. Inner city people getting shot in drive bys every day?…nope. Sick whack job shoots up a gun free zone???  Hell YES!! All Day..

This is a thread about the shooting that's been covered by Yahoo and the NYDN, right?  So, what 'corrupt media' are we talking about that's avoiding the subject?  For that matter, I personally haven't seen any stories exploiting the fact that a concealed carrier was killed the other day while trying to intervene in Nevada.

you wont see it on the 6:30 news or outside local. While yahoo is a popular website, it's no nightly news. The same reason the treyvon martin case became so big, and the countless innocent people shot by a person of color are never touched. pick and choose.
