Thanks guys. Backstrap was from a nice sized doe. Did a cast iron searing quick and finished on the grill. Cooked until about 130ºf and sat for about 10 minutes. Came out a nice med rare.  Not pictured corn on cob, fresh bread, and roasted garlic.

NY chefs pizzeria in Binghamton on State Street has good NYC style pizza in our area. Also OIP, Original Italian Pizzeria in Endicott is good. Sheet pizza is fairly big in this area and again Nirchis  and Brozetti's are the best. Brozetti's is in Johnson City and the number is 607 7979960. Try it and I'm sure you'll like it if you've had Nirchis before. 

Where do you go to for work up here? Just curious and if you can't answer or don't want to divulge any info, I understand.

Lol I know it well. I used to work for them for 12 years and I work just down the road from them now. Too funny. That was 10 years ago though. Lots of things have changed, except owners.

Ah NY chefs. Ya gotta try the eggplant parm pizza.
Being a J.C. native one would think I would be a Brozettis fan but they never won me over, but the sauce is good.
Jim Roma's has the pie to beat!

2 brothers huh? If I'm correct then one of them visits my house occasionally. I don't have the heart to tell him that I'm somewhat partial to Salamida's

Romas is awesome with all the sauce and little islands of cheese. Even better when it's cold. They sell it at Sweenys in Apalachin. I prefer Salamidas as well but these brothers probably sell both those brothers products.

Lol F that. I realized he wouldn't jump off deck so I had to turn lights off then back on to get him to go back down the stairs.

Lmao when I was a kid 14 or so me and my old man we walking thru a field next to hedgerow and my dad went in grabbed possum broke it's neck and put in backpack for trapping bait and pelt...always shocks people when you do it lol....

Did you know they eat ticks that's why they have sence gotten a free pass from me and are immune to lymes( I believe)

I wasn't scared. I just wasn't going to pick it up lol. Only times I have been a little scared in the woods was pissing or shitting in the dark in Wolf/grizzly country.

Just bustin' the nads Pedro. LOL

I have had to chase skunks off a 5x8 back porch in Schenectady. Now that's taking a risk. I rapped on the window once, bugger sprayed the porch. After that, I would just whip the door open and scream like a banshee. I got lucky, they would run and not take a stand.
