Baby Plav’s daycare is shut down for 2 weeks because of Covid so I got a rare Thursday off to hang with him.  We checked trail cams and cooked.  I almost feel guilty posting this one.  Red wine braise

I gathered kale,swisschard,beet grees,and collards for cooked greens..ate last of just shelled garden peas(planting again tomorrow),hand cut steak fries coated in garlic and chili powder. Chickem fingers in parmesan breading. Ice cream with blue berry sauce.

Aunt came into town to visit and bought her grandson so my parents took my son out so they can hang out. Me and my wife were dumbfounded with an empty house we were overwhelmed with all the things we could do without the kid around that we ended up.....doing nothing and binge watching TV and cooking at home. The beauty of this meal is that everything there was cooked on one cast iron. No washing in between.

Lemon and herb risotto a few hours ago for actual dinner and it was really good.
Then for a snack I soaked some boneless chicken breasts in buttermilk for an hour. Hit with some Bearman dry rub , smoked them. Diced up chicken and tossed with a new to us BBQ sauce , put a piece in each Scoop chip , topped with taco cheese then broiled for a minute , tiny dab of sour cream , little bit of Mighty Taco sauce and some diced jalapeño. Crab crostini : claw meat , Mayo , sour cream , chopped dill , lemon zest atop baguettes with a little bit of gruyere cheese. Side salad with buttermilk ranch dill dressing. Mexican hot chocolate cookies. These cookies are great. Ahh nice cold day and night...that means spaghetti and meat balls..God the sauce smells good ..

Pork/chicken garlic & onion meat balls baked. The sauce is a pepper,mushroom, 3 Italian cheese with everything but the mushrooms from our place....Fresh garlic, oregano,basil,finely chopped spinache and swisschard, 2 slices of hot pepper.

Mixed green salad and hot rolls ,blueberry crisp
