Old arrows

I need new arrows. I found a dozen 2016 Gamegetters in an old bow case. Perfect condition, they are aluminum. 

Would you use them?

If they are the correct spine for your draw weight and length , yes.

If they are /were quality (Easton ) spined and the right length, why not?

Easton aluminum arrows are my favorite, been using them for many years and still use them. They are tough and last for many years, I refletched a bunch of old shafts a few years ago that had the crap shot out of them and they have been working as good as ever, been stump shooting with them. 

If you can shoot them accurately they will do the job.

I use aluminum arrows. They do still kill deer just as dead as any other arrow.

I gave all my aluminum arrows a long time ago . I killed several deer with them .Nothing wrong with the arrows . Just decided to change .

I'm still using aluminum arrows in my recurve and my compound.  I had a hundred of them at one time and still have a dozen left, so I have not changed yet.  I may continue to use them when I buy new ones if I can find the same type in stock somewhere.

Those autumn orange XX75s are my favorites Doc, I like them fletched with feathers.

Hey they shot pretty good. Here is a group at 20 yards.

Put one of those aluminum arrows with a good razor head into a Deer's boiler room and you will have a dead one. I have aluminums, carbons, cedars and even a few old fiberglass, match them to your bow and they will all shoot good hunting groups and get the job done as long as the hunter does their part.

I still have my old Easton XX75s for my old wheel bow. I shoot them at least once a year to keep that old bow in tune. They look like telephone poles compared to my carbon arrows but still shoot straight and would kill a deer no problem. I use 4" vanes with a slight helical twist.

I gave my old aluminum arrows to a couple of Boy Scouts . I had also sold a dozen or two on Craigslist . I have been shooting Arrow Dynamics Big Game arrows for the past 15+ years .
