Lawdwaz
I use screw in steps and have for many years. I have some old rope on that I use occasionally low on the tree. I have a set of (I think) Grizzly Sticks rails (if that is the correct term) that strap on with one strap each that I like a ton. I also have a set of Lone Wolf climbing sticks but I don't think I ever used them. Something about the small peg on them that has me hesitant. I'm just curious about what you guys and gals use and like or dislike? Thanks................
stoneam2006
For hang ons I like screw in steps also seems you can get them in the right spots to get in and out and can put a extra one in if needed.....and my old man always takes the bottom 3 out so it can't be used unless unknowns have them... ants
For hang ons I use screw ins. A couple years ago my old hunting buddy passed away and I inherited his climbing sticks. I used them a couple times, just because they were his. They worked pretty well but i still prefer screw ins for hang ons.
G-Man
rapid rail are my favorite can use as many sections as i want, use in crooked twisted trees and walk around limbs, ect., then sticks..ok but still need a fairly straight tree. i still use screw ins a an added handhold/bow gun holder.. Pygmy
I used screw in steps for years.. But then I started having this nightmare about slipping...falling... and then waking up on the ground and looking up and seeing " Big Bob and the Boys" hanging on the fourth step up....

Nomad
Moving away from screw ins to sticks,Lone Wolf my favorite, picked up some Muddy ones at Dicks yesterday as they don't carry LW. They seem awful big and heavy though.
DirtTime
Screw ins. But, you can't use them on State land in NY. So way back when I made my own rope steps.
Hock3y24
I used 20' ladder sticks, I set my stands at like 16-17 feet and it allows me to get up the sticks and step rigt over on the platform.
Jeremy K
I just started using climbing sticks this year, I bought the 20 footer from dicks for 59 dollars. I ditched the quick pins and used security bolts, I cable locked the stand to the ladder . I feel like this is gonna be my forever set up.
