slice it , dip in milk, put in salt, pepper, flour mix & fry with onions until  brown,& tender & enjoy along with raw fried potatoes & veggies!  Having one tonight!

  I also want to try pickling one, any ideas or suggestions ?

I like the liver with just a touch of pink in it. I don't like it over done and I do as you described but fry it in bacon fat.
