Sad. Great spot since 1993 has been worse n worse each year the last few years since some guy moved in near where we hunt and has 3 huge dogs that go crazy barking every single day. Deer just continue to stay out of where hunt and we can't hunt the surrounding oroperties. My dad is thinking about going 80s style and driving 2 hours each way to margaretville each day to hunt

Nice congrats!! Heard a fair amount a shooting over by where the refuge butts up against the swamps on the west side

winds picking up here too had 3 does feeding in the field for about 3 mins before going back into cover, buddy got a nice 6 in Walton about 20 mins ago

that's not a bad idea and could be promising with the AR and you have the added bonus of possibly bear. buddy of mine hunts next town over killed a 421 bear this year and has countless 8 or bigger running around

I'm only 10 mins from the refuge. Is there somewhere you have to sign in like Darien state land? Next year I'd like to explore more hunting areas.
