Jeremy K
So I got some pictures sent to me today ,as some of you may remember me posting some photos of theses giant CITY deer that are clearly off limits and there is no hunting land in North Tonawanda ,well some scumbag couldn't help himself and shot this monster and left the body near the local golf course where a kid found it recently. Five Seasons
when you say they found the body, do you mean it was headless?
Marion
Here is the picture I got. That deer is monstrous! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Culvercreek hunt club
when you say they found the body, do you mean it was headless? No the hunter is headless. See the pumpkin...lol I don't see anything posted here that would lead you to it being an illegal deer. If you have proof, contact DEC http://www.dec.ny.gov/regulations/67751.html
monkeyman2269
Looks like he may have shot it then said he found it
Jeremy K
I think the pumpkin head is the kid that found it ,I didn't want to include his face in the picture.
Marion
Who says the golf course didn't allow someone to hunt the deer? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Taylormike
Live about 10 miles from there, some monsters for sure. You cannot hunt there.
Jeremy K
Who says the golf course didn't allow someone to hunt the deer? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk I guess anything is possible. The guy who sent me that picture didn't really know anything more then what you can see in the picture. WNYBuckHunter
Hold on, Deerwood Golf Course isnt in the closed zone (9C), its in 9A, so its possible that someone killed it legally. I know guys that have permission to hunt golf courses. Id be cautious of throwing unfounded rumors out there. If that buck was poached, we will end up hearing about it from DEC. Jeremy K
You can not hunt anywhere near Deerwood golf course .
Taylormike
WNY is right. I'm just saying it isn't legal for the general public to set-up stand there. I know the area pretty good. They have opened bait and shoot around there before. As far as the photo or deer being legit and/or legal or illegal, I have no idea. WNYBuckHunter
You can not hunt anywhere near Deerwood golf course . Look at an aerial map, I see a bunch of places you could hunt if you had permission. Tonawanda Creek is the line between the 2 WMUs.

orion
So someone shot that monster and just left it there? You say left the body as if he took the head but thats obviously not the case.

Jeremy K
I wrote the word "body" instead of "whole deer" I guess.
Bow Addict
Some people sure make confusing statements on here!
orion
I was just confused with the word body and seeing the whole deer. Just wondering why the whole thing was left. I guess something disrupted his plans.

Core
Why is that entire area off limits to deer hunting, BTW? Seems the entire state legalizes it except for that area and then around NYC. Edited October 20, 2015 by Core
fasteddie
I wrote the word "body" instead of "whole deer" I guess. That wasn't necessary . When they say the police found a body , it doesn't mean it was headless so I take it they found a body of a deer and that would be the same . No need to get too technical .
