I like seeing your exploration of new beer styles   I'm not a huge malt in IPA's but love the maltiness of barleywines  Best I ever had was Goose Island Bourbon county stout barleywine. Scored a growler and it was simply marvelous

Unearthed from the Long Trail Brewing Company. Stout at 7.9 ABV. Not bad, LT has better beers out there.

I'm having a HCSUB iced cold been in the snow bank for hours the wife reminded me they were outside.

Damn, just went to the cellar and realized there are only barrel-aged brews left.  To go back out and make a beer run or pop open some of the good stuff on a random Tuesday?  That is the question!

Stouts should be drank cool at best and not cold. Prefer mine room temp to catch all the flavors. I definitely notice a high abv slow sipper stout opening up as it warms
