I live in northern NJ and have been hunting Sterling Forest for many years. I met some guys in Sterling during turkey season who got me interested in Stewart SF. I came on here to get some info and opinions. 

 

I will definitely be hunting pheasants there in October.  Primarily to scout it for deer season, but will have the bonus of shooting some birds. I haven't been to serious about bird hunting since my dog died years ago.  

 

I imagine it gets pretty crowded on weekends during pheasant stocking.
