ApexerER
I will be the first to admit I didn't have a lot of faith in the voting electorate yesterday and was basically ready to give up on this great country. I was glued to the TV and my heart was sinking when watching the early returns with it showing Trump down in Florida. I knew without Florida there was no path to victory for him. Discouraged, I feel asleep on the couch in front of the TV knowing that my daughter would grow up in a much different America. I woke up about 12:30am to see that they had called Florida, North Carolina and Ohio all for Trump. I had a cautious optimism. I went up to bed where my wife was also awake watching the TV. I asked if she had been watching the whole time and she too had fallen asleep. We both stayed up and were elated when Clinton conceded at about 2:45am. I have no idea what kind of President Trump will be and I am ok with that. He seems to be on my side on almost every issue and the Supreme Court. The thought that we were going to elect the most corrupt person in politics was sickening to me. So I feel like it is Christmas morning and America will at least live to fight another day.

And less illegal immigration Change obamcare Change trade deals Just that alone makes trump a success In my book anything else he can do is icing on the cake . Doc
I also have to admit that a large part of my faith in America has been restored. I was of the opinion that no one cared anymore about self-reliance, honesty and integrity and decency. I was beginning to believe that we were on a path to decline as so many great societies before us eventually capitulated to. I really did not believe that the majority had the spine and the will or desire to reverse this path we were on. I think this election shows that the American people are deeper thinkers than I ever gave them credit for. Perhaps we have turned the corner and are now poised to restore our place of greatness in the world and the future. Let's wait and see.
DirtTime
This election proves just how fed up most Americans with our current government in almost everything. Those of us who voted for a change should be proud, but alert. It's going to be a bumpy ride for a while, but, IMO, it will be worth it in the end.
Core
Mine restored but it entirely. More people still voted for her. But at least they mattered less. Electing the most corrupt nominee in history was very worrying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Your comment on self reliance is the largest part of whats missing in the Liberal Democratic world. They want us to be full government reliant. Im pretty positive this country was founded and built on nothing but the importance of being self reliant and creating a life of honesty, integrity, decency, self pride and self worth. It is the very reason we became The United States of America. I have been dumbfounded by the American desire of being entitled to everything for the cost of nothing. I see it everywhere, even in my own home where our kids generation have zero desire to be successful through the path hard work. I think this very generation we see with there hands out while wearing designer work boots that have not one spec of dirt on them are the smartest generation yet. The only thing is they are not using those smarts and being taught in our education systems and homes to be smart but dependent on government. The common sense and desire to self succeed are gone, With the results from last nights election this is a great step in getting America back on track its also most important for the parents and educators to shine and teach this generation what true success and how to reach it is all about. Trump can pave the path but we must also teach how to walk this path or history will repeat itself and turn this country back into a Liberal entitlement state of mind. We have spoiled American youth and now we have seen the results of that as they have become adults full of jealousy, rage and the desire to be entitled with free meaningless materialistic items to brag upon there friends and fellow Americans with, to the point they want more and more for nothing. Last night hard working proud Americans stood up and said enough, you want it, earn it. There is not much greater happiness than working hard at achieving something, finally achieving it and the pride that comes from saying "I did it", and I hope they taste that victory of success and want more self reliant happiness.
Lever action
My faith in this country has been restored also.I always felt our Gov't was corrupt but I never realized how corrupt until this election year. Now that Trump has won I feel so relieved and don't feel the need to watch the news every night which was driving my wife crazy.I just hope congress will work with Trump so he can make America great again. Huntscreek
I have to say I thought America was on the point of no return. Very thankful Americans took a stand to save our country. Hope is what I have now which for awhile now was fading fast. I hope our leaders take this great gift and do good with it. NYS should have hope now to bring Safe act before SCOTUS is one thing. We have a lot of work "We" need to stop the Liberal control of higher education it pushes the lefts agenda. When I send my kids off to College its to learn for themselves not be molded for the lefts agenda.
