I'm just the opposite, I'm on parental duty while the wife is out of town for work and i'm living vicariously through everyone else knowing today should be a great day for hunting. 

I'm still jealous though

I was thinking the same thing all morning.  Probably the nicest morning of the season. Still no deer though

Great day to go to work and then realize I wasn't on the schedule today. 

7 more sleeps til gun opener but I'm not counting. Throwing gear in the wash now.

It couldn't have been more perfect...you up my way Lawd?...had one of the resident eagles soring over head just as the sun cleared the hill tops WOW is right.

Awesome morning. Had a doe come in, look around and then ran back out in the field with 11 other does. Had a 4 pt hang out under my stand and as this is happening there is crashing in the thick bedding area and a big 8 comes out but turns and heads a different way the last second. Me and the 4 pt watched silently. LOL. My buddy was sitting a 5 minute walk away and saw a monster 140" 10pt running some does and 3 other shooter 8's. Awesome morning. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Indeed it was.2 coons before light running past me.15 min after light a doe 60yrds in field.not long after had a doe come in straight at me ending up 10 yards from me.couldnt get a shot as i had a solid row of pines and she was huggin them the whole way to me.by then it was too late.didnt spook her off.she knew something wasnt right though.and a small red fox.no bucks but not complaining!going from seeing 2 deer last season to multiple deer every sit so far this season.im pumped!c'mon gun opener!

Unreal morning this morning. I had a big 8 point guarding my dead doe! ended up with 2 old girls to make the property owner happy!
