DirtTime
Picked her up some gloves (wrong size of course), a pink handled knife, some hand warmers, some Tinks 69 ( I don't use it, but I want to get her the best chance at a deer ), and a few other things not in the pic. Have to pick up a couple 5 gallon pails from Lowes to fit us both in the blind for the first couple trips, but other then that she's got everything she needs. Will treat her hunting clothes with Sawyers after I get a bow hunt in for the morning. From Saturday on, it's all about getting her a deer in the few days she gets to hunt. Tag soup for me won't be so bitter if she fills her tags. Edited November 16, 2016 by ....rob
rob-c
Why did you buy yourself a pink knife ? I have gotten my wife to do every thing in hunting except to field dress a deer, she has mentioned a few times she would like too but it hasn't happened yet.

Next year if she stays with it, I will drag the deer, but she will be gutting her own. It's a right of passage.

I sit on a little pad/seat in the plastic chair and I literally don't move for 3-4 hours at a time.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If she actually enjoys it, I will get a couple camo camp chairs with no arms.

growalot
Good for you Rob I hope she drops a dandy..and gets hooked for life.....in my dog house blinds Mr B had a fishing chair(low to the ground wit cup holders and a nice folds down back rest. He had it in the garbage and I pulled it out..wonderful and JUST the right height...beach chairs with a nice padded cushion work great and one have my garden scooter in it adjustable seat height .swivels and rolls back and forth one one way...Salvation army and second hand stores good places to find such things... http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/allen-high-back-blind-chair?a=683734 Edited November 18, 2016 by growalot

philoshop
It's nice that she's showing some interest in it. At least until you start losing coin-flips and getting stuck with babysitting duty on opening day. Best of luck to both of you!
chas0218
My wife and I were avid hunters before our first child, now she stays home with our son while I go hunting. Not that she doesn't want to hunt she is just hitting the 5 month pregnant mark with our 2nd and doesn't have any ambition to hike the hill and climb a ladder stand.
