Probably some how saw their own reflection in the glass and charged it....he's lucky they were most likely still in a bit of shock when he happened on them.

idk i'd probably get the 22lr where i am and given it's the season for them ....not to sound insensitive or unsporting.  probably do what he did too.  seemed like he had a handle on realistic expectations living with them around.

Yep I too would get the 22 out. 2 less coyotes would be killing all the fawn,turkey, pheasant, and so on.

Glass breaking and I'm in bed, I'm grabbing a 9mm and handlight off the top of my night stand, and taking a stand at top of stairs while the Mrs calls 911.

No reason to try and clear the downstairs , defense wins, two or four legs .....

The guy handled it just right in terms of minimizing damage. Can you imagine a fatally wounded pair of coyotes running through the house spraying blood all over the walls and floors and belongings.

I like the idea below better! haha but really I thinkI would do the same then blockade the stairs.
