Ha I just emailed them the other day asking if they had any plans on making these in 20. Never received answer. Last week their website didn't show them either. Well low and behold Cabela's Shooting catalog came yesterday and they now make them. Website confirmed too. These things in 3.5 " in my 12 are stupid tight at 40 yards. For fun I shot one at 65 yards (I'll never shoot that far on a bird) and it looked like most other 30 yard patterns from other loads. Patterns from daughters youth 20 were pretty good with Heavi Magblends ( Jellyhead tube) but dang they are pricey too. Definitely looking forward to sending some of these downrange on paper in preparation for youth hunt. Only $2 a shell versus $6 on Heavi Blends

Available are 3" 5's or 6's

good to hear winchester stepped up to the plate with adding 20 ga. to their line up.  I shoot the winchester extended range 3.5" #6 out of my 835 and the pattern is great.

Last year I set up a tristar 20. ga. semi  for a youth gun for the grandkids,  I hit the pattern board with pile of different "turkey" loads and several aftermarket chokes, when the dust settled the 2.75"  federal heavyweight 7's with a carlson tube was the new turkey poison for that gun.

My 9 yr old  grandson Gavin killed his first spring gobbler last april in pa. with that set up and the bird was 40 yards, the head/neck was pretty much jelly.  I used his gun to kill my first bird here in ny last season ( the triple beard that I had mounted ).

I saw a few other birds killed with those heavyweight 7's and have been quite impressed with both the patterns and the down range retained energy and penetration on turkeys is unreal.

with all that being said I will certainly be picking up a box of the winchester shells just to try since I just like to shoot and tinker with turkey guns, but it will have to be pretty impressive to make me change from my current set up but may be a good back up plan if ammo changes.

I used to shoot just the high velocity #4 3.5" winchester, and they patterned awesom epass 50yrd. Then switched to the extended range, and loved them even more, but cant seem to find them anymore. Now i moved onto the longbeard XR #4 in 3.5 and they perform very well at long range. but have yet to take a shot on a bird with them.

I talked with someone last year who loads their own shells with TSS shot (carbide) and uses a 20ga with,  #8 or #9 shot(equivalent to #4 and #5 in lead if i remember right) and his patterns are as good or better than mine out of a 20ga. Not sure how the barrel holds up over time but id like to look into this operation.

And a big good luck finding these !  WNY here . Called Cabelas (Cheektovegas), Gander was too busy to look for me, Harlem gun center, Johnson's in Lockport, S & S in Springville, Wolcotts. Called Cabelas main HQ and they won't even ship per NYS Safe Act to our local store. If I'm missing any potential locations in my area let me know. Thanks

Tried  GM..all I got was an argument ..They insisting I as looking for Double X...

And that's why most of the folks that work at these places have idea what's going on. The group of people on the forum have better overall knowledge of the outdoors and outdoor products then the people being paid to work in the stores.
