Turkeys Gobbling This Morning

I went out on the deck this morning to have a cup of coffee and the turkeys were gobbling. Caught a little video of them, turn up the sound. It wont be long now!

Im working from home today sitting on the deck, they are on the ground now gobbling like mad.

Grabbed a blind out of a foot of creek water early Sunday. The turkey and ruffled grouse were really going to town.

i usually take birds later in the AM.  all the roosting locations seem to be on the neighbors.  i've seen lots of hens but not many beards yet.  they'll inevitably show up though now that we're approaching mid April.

By now they have usually started gobbling hard ..but maybe I'm loosing my hearing...because I had your video turned up full...didn't hear your birds...to much time with equipment over the years I guess...

I've heard some as well in the last few days. Turkey season is just around the corner.

I too heard the years first gobbles around my house yesterday morning! I had just got home from work and helped the wife load the boys into the truck to head off to work and day care. I said goodbye to them and watched them take off. I took 3 steps towards the garage and heard a gobble ring out just down the valley a little ways! It got me super pumped! I've been waiting for them to start, was just telling my buddy the night before it's gotta be any second now haha.

I think that snow storm pushed back the breeding time line by a week around my area. Which is good, should make for a good hunting season!

had a jake this morning in part of the back yard clucking, yelping, and throwing out weak gobbles.  he had a mature bird sound off a couple times in the creek bottom out back.  i did take video.

Nice! I've been listening hard and even scouting all over, I hit 7 different state lands Monday morning and was parked at the first one 20 mins before sun up to listen to gobbles and heard nothing all morning. I did see birds in fields strutting, but they were silent. Local buddies weren't hearing anything either. The weather has been pretty rough in this area lately though. We still had snow on the ground going into this past weekend. I think that kept them quiet a little later than usual. This morning it was pouring rain when I got home from work so I didn't hear anything but hoping tomorrow morning there will be gobbles ringing through the valley

Up to the farm after work tonight. Two very nice toms out strutting for a half dozen hens. No gobbling though that I could hear. And too far away for pic's with my phone. But very encouraging for the youth season!

First gobbles closer to home in area I can hunt this morning, they have been one ridge over for some time now. Encouraging news for sure.

I was at my place last weekend and heard some gobbling in the woods behind the cabin. Saw some birds in fields while driving- a couple of flocks of over 30 birds.

my brother had two strutters and five hens behind his house yesterday in darien.

My large flock is slowly splitting up into small groups. Tom's are strutting since last weekend. Hopefully the hens aren't interested for another 2 weeks...
