Why is it whenever I sit, I see mostly Doe's?    The sex ratio is so skewed.     Every 20 deer I see, maybe 1 has horns...

Used to be like that, I try to shoot at least 2-3 does a year. I’ve seen more and more bucks since then. There was years I’d see 70-100 doe and 2 bucks, now it’s 40-50 doe and 15-20 bucks. I’ve already seen 10 bucks this year. And 30 ish doe.

I've got a good mix. however I haven't seen any yet while in the stand. Only trail camera pics are at night

Same here in Otsego County for me. Depends where you are I suppose...

I wonder if the cold spell this weekend will get them moving during the day. I'm seeing signs of activity at my spots but no deer yet. I also think the non-stop rain has bedded them down.

Also, I don't understand why DEC is so stingy on tags when the population, at least in the southern zone, is too high.

I see way more Bucks than doe. Mostly Young bucks. Strange for sure

Nature of the spot I hunt most. Travel areas.

I’m the exact opposite, seeing young bucks every sit and just two does. One of which died suddenly
