Bad road conditions near Buffalo today

This morning I was driving on the 190 towards downtown and lost control of my vehicle. I started fishtailing and ended up doing a 180 on the far left left into the adjacent lane. Fortunately, the road was not crowded and people were going slow. I came to a complete stop without hitting anything, and was able to just turn around and start driving again. I was lucky. Although there was little official accumulation, it was really slippery out there today with poor visibility from the blowing wind.

Now I am reading about the pileup on the 90 East of Transit. Bad news. link

Glad you guy's are OK. Saw that bad pile up on the Thruway, watching the evening news. Bad stuff.

Though winters anywhere in NY, are no cake walk. The folks from the Buffalo and Tug Hill areas are a hearty bunch indeed, from all the lake effect weather.

Keep safe everyone. Seems like this winter, is going to be a "real" NY winter this year.

Took me 90 min to do a 35 min commute from Williamsville to Alden on the way home. No real weather issue just to many people from the thruway hitting the local roads. I’m just glad I was not apart of any accident. I feel bad for those people on the thruway.

Small world, my wife grew up on Blossom Lea. Her parents still live there and the reason why we are living in Alden now.

Do you know the Mccarthys?  They lived right by the creek at the bottom of 4 rod in a corner house ? My buddy dated Maria and her best friend was Leslie

We were only there for a few years so only met a few folks. I know the house though.
