I’m roosting these turkeys in my yard lol.
WNY, I foresee a great chess match in the morning. Maybe have to get all nasty hen. Looking forward to seeing how the morning goes

Roosted a very nice tom this evening with my grandnephews.  We know the limb he's got his feet wrapped around. We'll be set up 75yrds up the hill under the tree their dad and I sat under about 18yrs ago for his first, and where the older grandnephew tipped his tom over last yr. Using the same gun too.  Really hope I can pull this off.  Only hiccup is there's 5 ladies roosted 50yrds below him.

cant wait for the morning,  my buddy will take his son and mine,  I am working till about 0545 and will then ride up and see if I can get into where they are.  hopefully i'll get stuck at the car with  them with birds all around, but it would be a bummer to not be there when they get a shot.  NO huntin for us on sun.

we put 7 longbeards, 3 jakes, 6 hens to bed last night.   gonna see if we can get Gavin a bird first then take Addison after that. would like to take them both at the same time but having a 9 and 11 yr. old in the blind is like having 2 wet cats in a burlap bag. lol.   bring on the PA youth hunt!

Good luck mentors and youths look forward to seeing birds down....cousin couldn't go this year so I'm sitting at work instead.

It’s 20 degrees, dark and I’m still getting over strep. Let’s hit it.

Settled into our blind. Listening to the sandhill cranes whooping it up. Perfect morning. Brought the video cam so I can Try to record the action. 

First gobbles of the morning just started. It’s go time!

3 groups gobbling. One from our right and 2 different spots from the left. Not sure if they are on the ground yet. Hens started going too.

Had a large flock gobbeling on the roost now they are broken up. We have one interested but we’ll see. Trying to stay patient. Man it’s cold.

Had 3/4 gobbling  early.  Been quiet for awhile.  Cmon. , we want to play.  Crows going nuts.

2 toms coming to the decoys and another bunch coming in from the other side. Haley is a mess

1st gobble was 5:38 here. Had a bunch gobbling on the roost. As soon as they hit the ground they went silent. Hopefully one comes into our field to play!

Had a hen come to our first set. Moved and located the birds from the am. They moved off and we reset in the sun so the kid can warm up.

We called it. He’s cold, I’m beat and we found a perfect spot for the blind tomorrow. Too bad I wasn’t well enough to scout this week. Oh well, tomorrow is the day!
