Any dead thunder chickens yet? Guess I didn’t miss anything. 40 degrees here, but going to 73 by midday. Let’s see what this turkey hunting thing is all about.

Just had a flock of Jakes and 1 long beard at 25yds no way to draw on them so I held still about to circle around em.

Had one gobbling from the roost like crazy. Since he hit the ground, not a peep. No shots nearby. Guess we play hard to get now.

Nothing heard here.  But I figure only way to overcome lack of birds and skill is shear determination and seat time.   Haha.  Still a nice morning.

It’s wet here so I can just rub my butt across the field. Little splash down.

When I first started hunting I had an uncle that came along with my grandfather me and my dad. He said he always wore two pairs of underwear just in case!

Woohoo. Sun is slowly burning off the fog

Seen several brids yesterday evening on one side of the property. Told my cousin to head there this morning. From where I'm sitting the only gobbling I could hear was in his area.   About 6 I heard him shoot twice.  Both clean misses.  

I still haven't heard a peep on my side of the property.
