A gun control supporting politician accused of physical violence?  Beating up weak and defenseless women is not covered in the SAFE Act.

The article states “They also sent a statement from his ex-wife, Jennifer Cunningham, who said, "I've known Eric for nearly 35 years as a husband, father and friend. These allegations are completely inconsistent with the man I know, who has always been someone of the highest character, outstanding values and a loving father. I find it impossible to believe these allegations are true."

So if Eric is “of the highest character, outstanding values and a loving father” why is she an EX-wife?

This is the Attorney General of "outstanding values" whose does NOT support giving reciprocity for conceal carry permits from other states including upstate New Yorkers not being allowed to carry in his precious New York City.   This is the Attorney General who supports the SAFE Act.

How is it that most of Cuomo's inner circle have either resigned or forced out of office but Cuomo remains untouched? The teflon Don.

The silver lining? Another gun grabber bites the dust.

Obviously don't like the guy, but this is how being a boss works. You never get your own hands dirty. Ask any drug kingpin.

It has been alleged that Schneiderman used illegal drugs.

Illegal drugs are the major root cause of gun violence.

So better for Schneiderman to "fight" gun violance with nonsense gun laws that do not work to keep the gun control circus in business than threaten the dope supply with a real war on drugs.

Hollywierd is for gun control, but loves the dope.  So they too advocate for useless gun laws rather than threaten their dope supply.

The self-proclaimed poster child of the 'Me Too' movement. Were the women all lining up to be slapped around by ol' Eric yelling, "me too, me too"? ROFL

I just reread that post, and I want to make it clear that I wasn't laughing about the women being abused. Sorry if it came off that way. I don't care if it's "role-playing" or whatever, if beating women is your thing there are plenty of countries on this planet where that's perfectly acceptable.

The allegations are DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.  Has Governor Cuomo dispatched the NY State Police to Eric's house to collect all his firearms???????????????

I would think once he's charged (that's the timing, right?), they most certainly should if he has any personally. He was pretty anti-gun,  although as AG he may have a handgun for self defense.

I would think he's a suicide risk right now. He was quite the rising star and he resigned just a few hours after it went public. He must be guilty of something besides the initial allegations otherwise I think he would fight. I'm sure there's more info to come, there always is. For him to quit what is basically his life, there's either more to come or worse to come. I'd bet he's a mess right now.

I see Elliot Spitzer in a local store fairly regular getting coffee when hes at his weekend home.

Judging by what he drives and the company he keeps (wealthy)......Looks like he is doing just fine.

Being Attorney General. representing the State of New York; a strong supporter of SAFE. Act, his guns should have been handed over to the state police. New York should have stepped in to confiscate, otherwise.

They were prescription drugs that he was illegally using. If you read the original outing article published in the New Yorker, it lays everything out on the table in pretty good detail.

They guy is nothing but a power hungry, drunken scumbag. I feel horrible for the women he abused, but I am loving watching this train wreck unfold.

Hollywood has a good laugh at Pence's buttoned up straight edge life while they all crumble under sexual and domestic violence and the party their donations primarily go to suffer similar fates. If it wasn't for idiots like O'Riley, Ales and Moore the republicans would be laughing a lot harder.
