How to maintain and store your bow/xbow strings...?

Honestly after the deer season my bows get put away and i don't shoot again until spring. Interested to see what you guys do.. What is your go to regiment for cleaning and keeping the strings healthy

I use the scorpion venom stuff and have good wax too

I just wax my string and rub it in deep with my fingers. Then hang the bow. Don't store it in the case. It will dry out. Because the case most times ends up in a less than ideal spot! Under bed, basement, etc.

I wipe my bow down with a lightly oiled rag with your regular gun oil. I mostly just rub a little oil on everything metal, especially sight and rest bolts. The rest just gets a little wipe down to clean up any mud splatter I pick up from walking. Wax the string heavily and pack it away in my bow case until spring.

no different than the rest of the year. keep it dry from the weather and what not. Q-tip and cotton cloth with rust preventing gun products on it all. don't worry as much about the riser as the rest of it, especially hardware. string always has a thin coat of good wax like bcy x-wax.

This question is probably similar to a car oil question and I’m already regretting asking it but what kind of wax do y’all use?

Bcy Xwax, I hang my bow in the garage until it gets too hot outside then leave it inside in a closet. Never had an issue. I try to shoot once a month.

I'm not kidding a bit when I say I use plain old chapstick. I literally shoot thousands of shots a year, and have always used it with no string problems at all.
