From what I can gather from your previous posts, your much older than I am. Which means you’ve lived through the years of lax laws on drinking and driving. If you made it through those years, I don’t think you have much to worry about now...

My buddies dad was a lawyer for the government and he always told us that , if you think a local cop has treated you unfairly, request a trooper on the scene.

My grandparents found pot years ago and called the local cops. Local cops went and said there was no evidense of any pot being grown. Not possible because my grandparents brought home one of the plants to see what it was so its obvious it was there.  From that point on, I havent trusted the local cops.

Crappyice is correct.  People will still look to grow it to avoid the high taxes on it, just as people run cigarettes from low tax states up to NY and sell them at a profit.

If pot were legal and not highly taxed, these dopers wouldn't be growing their weed on other peoples land.

many states allow you to grow your own stash as well. Not any different from buying your tomatoes or growing your own. If if the illegal game is still around (like it is for underage booze and guns etc), it'll be substantially smaller and the value significantly less. Heck weed is pretty cheap as is. Per pound the money is in H anyhow. That's how you get your house burned down in 2019.

My advice is to contact law enforcement immediately.  The location may be under surveillance by law enforcement.  If your seen handling those illegal plants your at risk for arrest and/or ruining an investigation.  Angering law enforcement is not smart.

Also using herbicide may result in the injury of death of users if the dope dealers harvest the marijuana and sell it.  Angering dope dealers is not very smart.

I know a few people who’ll help me remove those plants under cover of night. Late August should work but in the mean time could you trim the male plants a bit ?

They plant this stuff haphazardly, I have State Troopers and Suffolk County Police that hunt my property. Stupid is as stupid does.....

you really shouldn't call the cops that hunt your property stupid you know.  they're just waiting for leg shaving day. gotta postpone the burn cruise until then. lol

if you find it on your property and don't have an urge to help yourself then it's absolutely best to tell authorities right away and just stay the heck out of the area. if NYSP or DEC picked it up from above or somehow already know about it, they might be keeping an eye on it or the area to build a case. You pulling it, setting up a camera, or doing anything around there can be construed as you tending to what's presumed yours.
