Rain...

Well we got a lot of rain ...... and the backyard is flooded again . Water is  about 30 feet from the house and rising ... 5 years ago  county/state  rebuilt the bridge upstream . The way they built it it has no deflection so it  blows up over the bank  and into my backyard .

This house has been here for 40 years and only flooded 1 time before the bridge was rebuilt. This is the 3rd time in 5 years.

No water has made it to the house . ....

Just venting .

Well flooding doesn't seem to be as bad as last summer. From what I can see there is debris  but doesn't look like alot of rock .  Too dark to tell.  House stayed dry ... thank god ! Wont know  for sure until I get home from work . Hopefully  it dries  out enough to remove  before it freezes in for the winter.

Pumped out my girlfriends basement until midnight last night.  Luckily I was able to pump faster then the water could come in and nothing made it to the finished side, so no damage.  The original sewer line was cut on the side of the house and all the original drain openings in the basement were plugged with hydraulic cement... except for the stationary tub.  Ground water was entering through the abandoned line and filling up the tub... every 5 minutes, pump the tub out into the sump hole.

Now I have to relocate the drain to the sump hole and plug a few more spots where water comes in... good thing the power didn't go out or this would have been a horrible mess

Have to wonder what Pine valley ... Millport and Mountour is looking like. The stream is Catherine's creek.

My father lives in Millport and he said he had all kinds of water in the basement and was pumping it out.

I will be down that way tomorrow so I hope it isn't to bad
