Thanks. I will prob have to put a board down anyway cause it's soft where I am looking to put it. One I have now I have a hard time drawing bow in it with my big ass in there. Plus the color it is will really stickout in the cattails and grass there. Thinking I might also buy some of that duck grass wrap and cover it up with that too. Culvercreek hunt club
If you aren't needing a very portable blind but want one that can be moved and has GREAT room. I look at the Barronnett blinds. Specifically the OX 5. It is pentagon shaped and has a slot window as opposed to multiple zippered windows. I am 6'4" tall and can stand int he center of it. It comes with a bag with pack straps but it sure isn't a blind I'd want to take on a long haul. Can easily sit 3 https://www.barronettblinds.com/ground-blinds?gclid=CjwKCAiA58fvBRAzEiwAQW-hzWTIWoClBGg9E-b7bDpf177SrZgShJNjyC3E8JmIQ7EK-dtRLYHgaBoCoFIQAvD_BwE

I noticed a real difference in terms of deer noticing the open windows before and after painting. I really like that idea ! I was going to redesign the shooting window of my green hut ,it’s to, large . One thing I did this year was to staple tar paper over the opening on the inside, then cut smaller windows in that , now I may paint the outside of the green wood that opens black . That and a sign , “ no hunter inside “ should do the trick .

On Bowsite forum, I read about a guy who was hunting leopards from a ground blind when he noticed a 10 foot black mamba was inside the blind with him! He escaped and took video! dbHunterNY
don't go with spring steel blinds. buy hub style despite more expensive. spring steel style won't hold up to snow load and they are a major pain to put up and take down. i bought them often because they were cheap but won't anymore. can't shoot a vertical bow out of them either. fasteddie
There are a lot of excellent blinds on the market . Most of them have a footprint of 59"X59" . I used an Ameristep G-30 hub blind during gun season . Since the front was facing downhill a bit it was okay . If it had been on flat ground , the windows at the hubs would have been too high . The height of the chair / stool that you use also makes a difference as they are different heights . If you are near any of the Big Box stores that have the blinds on display , check them out . You may also have friends nearby that have blinds that you could try for size . I don't have a Hub Blind that I could shoot my bow out of .... Good luck .
