Figured I hop in a stand after work today, Plan was not to shoot a doe as there has been a nice buck by this stand in the afternoon,but... It was 4:45 plenty of light left and I got most of the rut off to chase big bucks, so I sent a Stinger through her, double lung shot she went 40 yards.

Hour and a half after i left the firehouse in rochester I filled the freezer in Canandaigua not bad !

The first tag for the 2011 season is officially punched. Had this doe come by this AM at 7:30...30 yd shot (quartering away), put a good hit on her...she went 40 yds and went down...dead in a matter of seconds. First arrow fired at an animal with my new bow. Gotta love it. Gonna have to get the grill cranking...it's backstrap time!!! :good:

Shot my first deer yesterday evening. Small doe from about 20 yards away. It dropped quick and dragged itself into the bushes about 10 yards away. I know it's a little small, but they all taste the same. Now I can start looking for something bigger! Wow what a rush!

The smaller the deer the harder the shot, congratulations.
