Hi! New to hunting and Catskills

Hi, all! Thanks for having me. 

I recently bought ~30 acres 5mins north of Margaretville in 4P (Delaware County). Property borders a ~75 acre parcel of public NYC land, with a few others scattered near by. Just north of the Beaver Kill Range. Would love to connect with anyone around the area. Is there generally a lot of hunting traffic on those smaller NYC-owned parcels scattered throughout? Can you park a stand and leave it overnight on public land? Found mixed answers. So many questions..  Good to be here; thanks again.

Understand that DEP regs are specific to NY City owned properties, and are separate from NY State owned lands.

Much information on DEP website. (And NY DEC too)

Welcome! I'm just west in Bovina. I've hunted a bunch of the DEP properties, mainly during turkey season. I run in to a lot of stands year after year. I believe your suppose to take them down yearly but most people don't. Some of the parcels get a lot of road hunting pressure. The DEP website has maps and all the info.  Feel free to contact me anytime. Where are you from?

Welcome! Had a place in Roscoe many years ago. Right down the road from thousands of state acres. Campbell brook, Morton Hill road are a few spots. great area to hunt!
