lol, I thought some of my guys were bad going out for only 3 hours! hahahah

Yea I hear what you mean.

Yeah most of the guys I hunt with are older than me so they have slowed down a bit. Plus we have a opening weekend tradition that we slaughter a pig and then have a pig roast so they are all more excited about that lol. I dont mind because that leaves the entire property to me!

Opening day of gun season....Nothing quite like it...

I have been in the woods at daylight on opening day every year since 1965. Even the years when I was in the Navy, I managed to get leave for the first week of deer season.

Good luck to everyone, and hunt safely.

Damn, you Italians are one step above barbarians! Just kidding, I better be actually! LOL So you guys have one guy stay behind and not hunt to look after the pig while it's roasting? Wouldn't it be funny if the pig was left alone for a while and a bear helped himself to it? A bunch of mad and hungry Italians you guys would be!! LOL

Well actually we slow cook it in a brick oven so no worries of a bear getting to it. We have to worry about which one of our guys is gonna sneak a taste!

The reason we cut the throat is to get the blood immediately because we make a pudding out of it. Sounds nasty but when made properly you would think it is an exotic high end chocolate pudding!

Ahh well, I'll be there for the pig meat, but I think I'll pass on the blood pudding. I have to leave some room for the chipmunk stew at Growalot's afterwards. LOL
