are you smoking something? Trump just signed the single largest public lands bill since Teddy... geez man.

Trump gets credit for not blundering the opportunity to sign a terrific bipartisan bill that protects public access. In the days leading up it, Trump was asked about the bill at a press conference and he said he didn’t know about it. We can give Trump JR credit for informing his father by speaking in his language (tweet).

This Republican Administration has been disastrous for public lands. From opening industry access to protected lands to the debacles with the department of interior and bureau of land management, their actions have been a huge setback. Here are a couple of a good examples:

you're plain wrong here. This isn't about trump, you called out a party and him, his son and the BI PARTISAN bill shows that your claim is false. I'll give you that some states have agenda's to do what you're claiming, but generally speaking what's actually happened is more protection for public lands.

PS the CWA is a separate issue from public lands which is what you spewed out incorrectly and your buddy Joe is all about fracking, so I'm not sure he's the AOC you so desperately desire.

Curious if you've donated or joined any organizations to help protect lands? Because this republican hands over hard earned money every year to do so. Join BHA or TRCP or shut up.

I don’t know what you’re trying to argue...

It doesn’t get you very far if you expand public land acreage and then remove its protections. The bill was bipartisan and that was the only way it was going to get through. How great would it be if more necessary bills brought the parties together? Nevertheless, you credit Trump with signing it. We should be clear that whatever pat on the back you want to dole out to Trump comes with the caveat that not only was he not engaged in negotiating the bill, he was actually clueless about it.

You said republicans are trying to remove public lands. If that was true, they would not have signed a bi-partisan bill and a republican president wouldn't have approved it. It's not complicated. I'm not a big trump fan but him signing this isn't a big republican agenda item so credit his son for getting him onboard. There's a good meateater interview with Don Jr. where he talks about the history here and of course the media barely mentions it... he himself should have brought it up during the debates and I think he missed an opportunity as many democrats are mislead in their beliefs that the republicans are all anti-eco.

Cute Edit add-on. I like the message but don’t get emotional.  I am a member of both (plus a few others). Here’s what these have to say about the Trump admin:

I agree, Trump has missed many messaging and leadership opportunities. Let’s hope his tenure ends today.

At least Trump would be able to remember those lost opportunities and Biden will finally get the care he needs after he loses today or tomorrow or next week, depending on when the Dems will accept the loss.

Beating an incumbent outside of a landslide is a loss? Let’s wait the count out before resuming the brainless back and forth

the democrats were very much anticipating (based off polling) a landslide and a landslide indicates that the republicans are dead. In turn, it looks like the republicans will maintain the senate and even if Trump loses, it was very close. So there is no blue wave that they wanted or thought they might have.

Conversely, the republicans went in knowing it would be tight all around and keeping the conservative movement alive is a win for them. Neither of these points change regardless of what happens with the election and can still be true at this time.
