Don't know how it happened?

My best friend calls me and says lets go to the cabin for 3-4 days. I was like you sure, yup ready to go. He asks if its still deer season and I tell him muzzleloader season.

So I'll get to hunt a few more days eat and drink like a king. Gotta love friends! lol

Sounds like a great time whether you see a deer or not.  I miss the old hunting camp days.  It's great to get away and turn the world off for a while.  Enjoy!

I remember a buddy asking me to go snowshoe rabbit hunting ..

So he brings his dog and we hunt , never see a fricken thing .

on the way back to the truck I unload my gun , he goes to unload his and he never even loaded it !!

I once still hunted a whole day. Had a great time. Got back to the truck and unloaded the gun. Except there were no shells in it. Duh!!!!

One of the guys brought his kids to deer camp this year. He said that's all they talk about. They can't wait to go back. We already set a weekend aside in January to head to camp just to drink, eat, and relax. So looking forward to it!

I'm trying to restore deer camp in our life. When bucks were scared doe tags came with 4 signatures and Genesee beer filled the recycling can. I remember skipping the first day of school and waiting for my family to return at lunch to hear the stories of the biggest bucks killed. Never ending good food and talk about the one that got away. Most of my inspiration to hunt came from the opening week hunting camp adventures. Truck scouting in the evenings and watching big cruising bucks run around and never breaking a law just enjoying the time together. After my father died I put his racks on my shop wall. These are the adventures that helped shape my desire to be a hunter.

I’m sure it’s a good time but with COVID ramping up the way it is I wouldn’t go anywhere in an enclosed area with anybody outside my immediate family.
