G-Man
Well i guess the key to a good marrage is to stay shut-ins. Come on really? sites like this and fb allow people to get along and chat, maybe catch up with long lost friends from school, if someone is going to cheat they would no matter what. Besides some people do meet and create a realtionship i,and isn't that what e- harmony and like site state? Fb is ok... just need to use your head when using it. some people don't think and they will get in trouble.. I like using it to keep in touch with family that has moved away from the area, and out of th ecountry for that matter..no long distace fees here. WNYBuckHunter
I don't think anyone is blaming Facebook if someone does cheat. All some of us are saying it's one less temptation for married people if they stay away from Facebook. Just like being a married guy who gets asked by his buddies to go to a bachelor party or strip club. Just don't go, and then you won't get tempted to do something that won't make your wife happy. Oh no, I know people that have said they blame Facebook for it. I told them they are full of it. Now bachelor parties and strip clubs, I cant turn one of those down! Luckilly, my fiance is cool with that kind of stuff and doesnt mind when I do go, which is not that often any more.
steve863
Good luck with the bachelor parties and strip clubs. That kind of stuff gets old even if you're single. I prefer to stay away as a married guy. And I was supposed to be the "less conservative" minded guy on this forum?? Well, I'll be a SOB, I may actually have more morals then some of you here!! LOL Edited February 17, 2012 by steve863

5.9cummins
Like being on huntingny.com? Thats the first thing i thought of. I have an account but find myself deleting people rather than adding them. I get fed up with the crap so now I am down to close friends and family. Elmo
I had an old high school friend who I lost contact with after we went our seperate ways during college. Almost a decade later, he found me on facebook and we reconnected. Turns out, he only works a couple of miles from where I work. We now meet up for lunch here and there. Facebook is a tool. It can be a useful tool if used properly. But just like any other tool, it can be abused and over used. This is an example of society today. Everyone wants to blame something but never themselves. "Oh, it's not his fault. He suffers from <fill in blank> syndrome." "Facebook is bad because its takes so much of my time. It's so addicting!" "Alcohol is bad because I can't put the bottle down. It's so addicting!" How come people can't say "I need to learn some self control. I control it, it doesn't control me?"
Skillet
I only signed up for it to catch my ex wife cheating. It worked wonderfully.

Either way, it was pretty funny. Most of the people on my friends list that post more than once or twice a day get put on hide lol.

stubbz
if you think facebook is the cause for your relationship problems then your in a relay that you shouldn't be in to begin with. if you have to worry about your significant other meeting guys or gals and cheating then again your with the wrong person. i've never had to worry about it for a single day ive been with my fiance, trust goes a long way when its real.
2GRIT
All the negs you see here about FB are the similar to what was being said when computers became mainstream. I have found a lot of old friends from my military days that I thought I would never hear from again. Pretty remarkable actually. As far as the blah blah blah you see, it's easy to block all the crap.

Suilleabhain
My wife is on it....always. Its great for talking with Ireland & Scotland but getting the 'look at this' crap is too much. I could care less that my nephew went out and got crocked on Friday night. So I sit down in front of the TV while she is on and it turns out she has the TV crammed with the Kardashians, Joan Rivers and all that Idol crap she is saving on DVR. So I have to read.
