Sambuca
Grouse, forget hell, they are trying to make it 3650 cold days in prison for you and me. Mandatory psychological exams, minimum fines of $50,000 and minimum 10 years in prison for knowingly violating. $800 fee to get this license to exercise your constitutionally protected right (plus whatever your psychological exam costs). Oh, and the psychologist can request to examine any family members if they see fit. By far the most intrusive and restrictive piece of gun legislation ever introduced. Even lefties on the supreme court should see this as flagrant violation of constitutional law. The author of this bill should be punished for attempting to subvert the constitutional rights of the American people.

Ok, so admittedly, this aint my forte. The 50 cal provision isnt referring to muzzleloader rounds though, right?? I think its referring to those military rounds like in maghine guns. Back in my army days, I rmember the 50 cal mounted machine guns, and those rounds were huge!! Must be in reference to that , right?

I don't believe so, it's probably suggested in the bill to make it difficult to own or shoot a Barret .50 cal rifle. I don't know all of the gun ownership laws in NY (I only owned land there for a while & lived there when I was in college), but they are a fairly popular rifle to own if you want to be able to take out cinder blocks at 800 yards. Probably not muzzleloaders. the projectile is not considered ammunition. However, this would ban ammo for the 50 BMG and even the S&W 500 I assume. Depends on thier definition of "ammunition". if it exclude muzzleloaders they may get a pass. Also I'd like to put out there that there is 50 cal ammo that isn't just 50BMG that most people think of for military use like you did. How about the 50AE pistol round? ....better one....Any idea what caliber a 12 gauge is? .73 caliber and the sabots can be 50 cal.
