Damn shame

I saw this guy laying on the side of the road this morning here on Long Island. Such a beautiful buck land a damn shame the way his life ended. He was in a residential area that just 10 yrs ago didn’t have deer in it,but I’ve been seeing more and more.

The picture really doesn’t do him justice. He was a beauty.

I blotted out the blood so I could send it to a friend of mine. She lives a block away from where he got hit.

It wasn't in an area I could darg it off.I would of took the head gear for my dead head pile or to hang on my shed.

I had a friend hit a nice one this time last year.  I'll see if I can find the photo.  That is a nice buck rachunter.

This guy was taken out in Nassau 2 years ago.

It’s one of few things I’m going to miss about Long Island. The deer hunting and surf fishing. The best woods I’ve ever hunted to date is Hither Hills.there’s always a potential to drop a giant anywhere on the island.

Back in the '80s and '90s, we used to see some beautiful bucks along the stretch from Mattituck out to Orient while dragging the boat out that way. Real shame.

I work nights and was on my way home my friend that hit it worked in the same place on days. He hit it on his way to work and someone else I worked with on nights got there before me and had a shoulder mount done.  I saw it in person it's a huge buck.
