I'm leaving NY as soon as I retire and can sell my place for what it's worth.  If you think it's easy to leave NY for most people, either you don't own much or just live in a fantasy world and have no idea what all is involved in moving your entire life and family in a short period of time.  Nobody wants to bail at a tremendous loss when they go.  If done systematically, you can leave without too much cost and then thrive in a free state for the rest of your life.  I moved here when NY had a lot to offer outdoors, even though it had little to offer in any other area.  Had I know how fast it would embrace totalitarian tyranny, I never would've moved here at all.

The pandemic has served to exacerbate a migration trend of Americans moving out of blue states into the greener pastures of red states. While the increasingly onerous taxation in blue states has served as the primary motive for moving over the last decade, the arrival of COVID served to significantly speed up the migration due to the disparate governing responses of blue and red to the pandemic. Republican-run states have largely worked to preserve individual liberty, keeping schools and businesses open, while Democrats have done the opposite. People have responded by fleeing authoritarianism, and the result is that 25 mostly red states have seen a combined population growth of over 800,000 since the spring of 2020.

The one big problem with the mass migration to Red states, is that the vast majority of the ones fleeing keep their blue state political views and start the process of ruining the free red states they moved to.

Soon those purple state residents are voting for the same dimwit regressive democrats that ruined the states they moved away from.

The cycle of stupidity will never cease.

Choosing not to prosecute "resisting arrest" has got to be the most insane thing I have ever heard a leftist DA do.  What the hell does this idiot think is going to happen when that becomes the norm for every criminal in the city?  What does the DA think cops will have to do to arrest people now?  Or does the DA just plan to tell cops, "If they resist arrest, you can't arrest them."  

This isn't hypocrisy, this is stupidity.

The NYC cops are going to become nothing more than report takers.  They cannot engage the criminals. The politicians have made it clear who they support.

If you look at my post you will see I never mentioned anything about what side I was referring too. I never said "who" is  unable to stop themselves from spewing the "hate filled rhetoric". I left that for the reader to determine.
I think it is very telling you assumed it was in reference to the tactics of "lefties". Very telling indeed!
One would only need to go back and read the posts from each member to get a clear picture of who has dragged this site into the gutter. I have watched this over time, mostly from the side lines. The posts speak for themselves.
Please feel free to go back and read any of my posts. You will find I have been out spoken about the name calling and bullying that has been going on. I don't think it has any place here or anywhere for that matter, and has been tolerated for far to long in my very humble opinion.

What has dragged this site into the gutter is the fact that members line grouse, shoots 100 and phantom are still here.

They have never been real contributing members of this forum and only post threads to stir the pot. Once considered fringe members and a joke they have now gained steam by posting right wing conspiracy’s during a very divided time.

Any way what would be best for this place is to realize it’s a huntinh forum not a political recruiting center and get rid of this section all together

How long will it take before the progress made is reversed and permanently erased from the “woke history” that fills our classrooms from this day forward? When will they publicly confess this is what they stand for, and unleash waves of sorrow like we’ve never seen?

This is Chefs reality, where people like him, filled with hatred, can cancel others free speech.

What's done in darkness will come to light and whoever reads this section will be shown the light, no matter how hard you try to distort the truth with your inflammatory posts.

I agree with a lot of your core thoughts so don’t go calling me a lib or snowflake or cancel this….I disagree with your (and all extreme positions) approach because it does nothing to inform or advance the issue. “Because I said so” (and I said it louder!) is an argument I stopped accepting when I was 6.
