Danny
apple trees are a great addition, protect them well as the deer will chew off every leaf if the trees are small

Make sure you set aside time to relax and enjoy the place. Take advantage of the guy while he is there, some of these guys charge for unloading the big equipment. Have fun! agross
Im the same way. Love going up but i'm starting to find out that with all the projects i want to do i'm starting to run out of time to just sit back and relax and enjoy nature. Thats why on those occasional rained out days im not mad because i can relax without the feeling of wasting time

defrazzle
Went to college at Plattsburg. Great area here as well as where you are in the Finger Lakes. Besides hunting in the Adirondack PARK my son and I also hunt private farms between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes.
Geno C
i have to call the town first thing tomorrow for having the ditch pipe dropped off and then the driveway can go in. i also plan on doing some timbering and getting some hemlock out, its everywhere and its thick... its creating to much of a canopy and doesn't let much light in for new growth. i figured id also try planting some wild plumb in hopes of creating some thicket ares for future deer bedding. has anyone planted them? i order seedling so ill see how long it takes to grow up... i took a bunch of before pics and once its done ill post before and afters up. apple trees look like they are budding up nice. i bought a bunch of miricle grow sticks and hammered them around about 8 apple trees putting in about 4-5 each tree. i relaized i have about 30 trees and will need alot more sticks lol
ny hunter
Well we had a so so day at our camp,1 lawn mower died half way thru the lawn thought it was running funny last fall so we had a second on the truck.turned on the water and the tank on the toilet is leaking,We all thought the others put anti freeze in when we closed the cabin,so a new toilet is going up in 2 weeks. We did see 8 or 9 deer on our way up the hill 2 very ones. But all in all not a bad Sunday.........
