Don't let it consume your weekends. Make sure you set aside time to relax and enjoy the place. Take advantage of the guy while he is there, some of these guys charge for unloading the big equipment. Have fun!

I too am going to our camp today! Haven't been there since end of February. Yesterday it snowed, so I hope to see some good tracks near my trail cam. Will post (if there are any good ones) tonight. :girlcrazy:

Cool deal. I'm heading up on Monday for turkey hunting opening day. Good luck with the new place. What did you decide to do about a cabin?

nice goodluck! hope you come home with some birds. i have not decided on a cabin yet. im up in the air at the moment on that. Right now just focusing on getting the driveway in and these foodplots. Also have to start hanging my stands soon and would deff like to put a small pond in near the food plots. I am going to be planting Corn, Purple top Turnips and Biologic Maximum along with 10 more apple trees.

Just got back from my camp and checked the trail camera. I had several shots of a snowshoe rabbit, a coyote and several deer - all does. Here is a shot of one of the does.

And here is the coyote - see it on the right side of the picture, standing on a fallen log -

Im the same way. Love going up but i'm starting to find out that with all the projects i want to do i'm starting to run out of time to just sit back and relax and enjoy nature.

Thats why on those occasional rained out days im not mad because i can relax without the feeling of wasting time

i have to call the town first thing tomorrow for having the ditch pipe dropped off and then the driveway can go in. i also plan on doing some timbering and getting some hemlock out, its everywhere and its thick... its creating to much of a canopy and doesn't let much light in for new growth. i figured id also try planting some wild plumb in hopes of creating some thicket ares for future deer bedding. has anyone planted them? i order seedling so ill see how long it takes to grow up...

i took a bunch of before pics and once its done ill post before and afters up. apple trees look like they are budding up nice. i bought a bunch of miricle grow sticks and hammered them around about 8 apple trees putting in about 4-5 each tree. i relaized i have about 30 trees and will need alot more sticks lol
