  2. Pictured below is my Honda ADV Scooter for getting off the beaten path. This little off road scooter is great for hitting gravel-dirt back roads, fire trails and logging roads to places holding out of the way hunting and fishing spots, the key with this scooter is storage. The under seat storage has enough room to hold pack rods-tackle and takedown firearms, my Diawa Mini Spin kit and Savage 42 takedown combination gun fit easily under the seat. I have did a bit of personal accessorizing, I added a rear rack and mounted a lockable top box on it for even more storage. A little bit bigger windshield for better cold weather riding and some good crash bars in case I dump it. Also I went with a custom seat that I like better than stock, like my firearms I am always doing things to make them mine. This is a great little bike that gets at least 80 MPG and is just plain fun to ride in itself, no shifting, just twist the throttle and go.
  3. The harvest was down but the age of the bucks in the harvest when up to 67.9%. that's up 3.9% from 2022. A good reason the harvest is down the covid spike is over so less guys out.
  4. So here’s with a turkey choke number 1 is Kent 3” 20 gage number 2 is Remington nitro turkey And the pic above is with full choke Kents which would be best
  5. 9.6 percent from 2022. Perhaps someone can post the link. Why do you think harvest numbers are falling?
  6. Thankfully Big John is pretty mellow, friendly and not aggressive, I have had Roosters that I categorize as man fighters that will not hesitate to attack, if they have longer sharp natural spurs they can be dangerous. I had a Rooster put a Pearl harbor hit on me once and his spur went right through my rubber boot and puncture my leg. Those kind I keep penned up and trim off their spurs until it is time for them to end up in the pot. Al
  7. Yesterday
  8. Agreed; unfortunately, though, nothing will come of it , im sorry to say
  9. I tried posting like 20 times while actually being in the woods, and it just kept freezing on the "Sending" screen. Not a peep this morning either.
  10. Does Big John ever get it in his mind to chase people? I remember a rooster when I was a kid that used to chase me around the yard at times......lol.
  11. Sunny day and great temperatures on the west side of the state today. The only turkey I see are the ones crossing in front of my car. Usually in the afternoon. Figure, at least I'm seeing them LOL..
  12. All is well with the poultry, I am getting eggs up the ying yang. My favorite is the giant Leige Fighter, I call him "Big John" he is broad in the shoulder and narrow at the hip and none of the other chickens give any lip to Big John. He got into a battle with an Asil Stag earlier in the spring and killed him so he is not anyone to mess with. He will weigh around 10 or 11 pounds and tall, I would say and still has a little growing to do as they do not fully mature until they are around 1 1/2 year old. I will take some more pics when I get a chance. Al
  13. Day 4 tried a different spot with my cousin...same results, no birds heard. Ended our day short, getting down poured on by 9:30. Day off Sunday for a couple BD parties and out this morning again st my place before back to work tomorrow. So far, rain is holding off, it's foggy, and a deer just walked by with some geese sounding off in the background on the pond, as morning starts. No gobblimg so far, but a beautiful morning out here. Hopefully a gobbler decides to cooperate today. Good luck to all out there this morning.
  14. When it rains it pours and it only took a couple of minutes after dropping the first Mus before this unfortunate Mus came into range. I thought I missed it, but like the Mus I shot earlier, it moved a little and then moved no more. You know a Mus is dead when it doesn't move. SJC
  15. After the torrent of rain turned into a drizzle I knew the Mus would be on the prowl. This one had been giving me the slip since Friday PM. SJC
  16. No idea what the post is about?
  17. Updates? Pics of the flock? How are they all doing?

  19. Upstate New York hunter Ed Parsons poses with his bruin. Circa 1900
  20. I finally found an online video of this film. If you've never seen it, you need to watch it. The 2020 election was far from secure and here is proof. https://rumble.com/v34k7sc-2000-mules.html?gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIioSnjMH2hQMVNzcIBR0CEQGyEAMYASAAEgLvnPD_BwE
  21. Congrats on the Tom, Bear looks to be a nice size. Al
  22. Day two was a success. Opening day I messed up. Today was excellent. Spotted 3 Tom's in the field last evening. Followed them to roost. Snuck back in early this morning. They gobbled from the roost. Nothing on the ground. A few soft yelps and a short time later a saw a white head move. He came in silent.
  23. Awesome hunting. Good job.
