I was looking through the ads on Craigslist last week when I came upon an add from someone looking for wild Turkey eggs. The add stated that this person would give you money and come out and remove the eggs from the wild Turkey nest. While sitting there thinking of what kind of Tool would actually do this I remembered the DEC's TIPP hotline. I went on the website and e mailed them the listing, not really thinking they would do much about it. Imagine my surprise when I got this e mail back from them today: Mr. Phillips, Thank you for your complaint information ref. the subject attempting to purchase turkey eggs via Craigslist. The add has been removed and the subject was also found to be in possession of illegally possessed wild turkeys. Thanks again, ECO P.S. Agree with the radar gun part lol! As for the sound....never had that issue. Ive hunted in snow with aluminum arrows and never had an issue with the biscuit.2 points

Good deal - I guess this gives a whole new meaning to the term "poached eggs".2 points

Well this little guy was hanging out on the edge of a vineyard yesterday morning, about 2 foot off the mowed head land in a hedgerow. He was still wet, think mom must have just dropped him, and maybe we spooked her.1 point

If anyone notices the difference of 3 FPS they should be working for the Police as a radar gun. What you will notice with the WB is the noise, especially on those cold, calm, quiet mornings. A buddy of mine had a deer bust him because of the noise the rest made when he drew back on a deer. Needless to say, he changed rests. Just something else to think about.1 point

Wow.......That's 70 packs for $106.00 which breaks down to $1.50 a pack. Please tell me your joking ! Almost makes me want to take up smoking again...........God I miss it.1 point

This has gotten funny! @3fps difference shot side by side, your "slower" arrows tip would be passing through the target at almost the same time as your "faster" arrows nock dissapeared!1 point

And now it is clear where the phrase "cradle to grave" came from. And even more scary is the fact that some of us actually believe in that sort of government.1 point

Not to mention anything with preservatives in it, food grown with pesticides, and a variety of other toxic materials which just don't get the hype of tobacco products... We all know people that lived into their 90's that smoked their whole life.. yet, as intelligent people we don't assume that there is a correlation between smoking and longevity of life. Even with a huge growth in anti smoking ads and all that has been done in the last 40 years to reduce smoking (which it has)... lung disease still remains at the top of the list of killers. I will argue that a can of Spaghetti-O's is worse for you than a cigarette... and the government telling you what you should or should not be doing is worse than either of those things.1 point

I'm getting back into K9 trapping this year. So I'll be prepping my equipment, making bait/lure, Etc. I'll hit the river often for muskies and bass. Also can't wait for those delicious mushrooms to start popping up in the woods and it gives me extra time for scouting new areas for bow season. I'll probably clip about 36 Billion blades of grass too.lol1 point

Nothing wrong with them out there, I shoot mine out at 50 and 60 yards at the range, no problems. I think most that have had issues either didnt have them turned correctly or just wanted to have the latest and greatest. I almost fell into that trap until I had my bow tuned properly, then there was no issue. Others are too concerned about less of a speed loss than a kisser button or string leeches. On my rig, a Hoyt Maxxis 35 (29" draw @ 63lbs)with a WB, string leeches and a kisser, Im throwing a 375 grain hunting arrow (with broadhead included) at 293 fps. I cant remember my KE right now, but its in the good for Elk range lol.1 point

Accepting what? 3 fps? I have no doubt they slow it down a few fps, its been proven for a long time, but you dont seem to accept the fact that 3 fps in the world of 300+fps bows is MEANINGLESS. Dont get so butt hurt over it. BTW, I have yet to make a personal attack on you, I can see you didnt waste much time getting yours in there though. LMAO typical.1 point

I like them both and i agree they both have pros and cons. 3 fps....yeah not gonna worry about that. If youve gotta squeeze every last bit of speed out...and it comes down to 3 fps, then something else is wrong. I choose to shoot my deer at 30 yards and under. I shoot heavy 2413 xx75 eastons with 100 grain crimson talons out of a 60# bow thats lucky if it hits 270fps. So 3 fps means nothing to me. Hit a deer with my setup, or another setup that cranks out 330fps at 30 yards...the result is the same "dead deer". Then again its my money i spend and yours that you spend. I like my limbdriver but i think im gonna trade or sell it. Just my .021 point

There were 4 birds in this area all season and I actually missed the big one earlier this year. I think this was the second best bird in the bunch and it was getting down there for redemption. He was in a field in full strut with 6 hens. I was able sneak in and get 70 yards away. The hens started to cackle and fight so I made a couple of clucks while they were fighting. The next thing I know as I peeked above the tall grass was a hen 15 yards in front of me. She proceeded to walk 3 yards in front of me and then passed by. Five other sets of turkey eyes passed by anywhere from 5-10 yards away from me while a flurry of mosquitos buzzed by head. Then I looked up and another bird walked passed my shooting window. I realized that was the Tom and everything was almost for nothing because that was the only shot I had. Fortunately he made the mistake of coming back through to make the mosquito bites all worth it. I was able to click the safety off and raise my gun and dropped him at 10 yards. He is not a huge bird, but he has very sharp spurs, 1 1/8th inch spurs, and a 9.5" beard.1 point

Damn, what a bummer. I bet it'll all work out. Do you have to sign in at that club, if so look at the roster and see who was there and ask some questions. Fingers crossed.....................................................1 point

Flocks of starlings tend to all let go at the same time.. Depending on what they have been eating, brown is a possibility. I was driving down the highway once and got bombarded by a deluge of PURPLE bird poop...The rascals had been eating elderberries or something similar.1 point

Yikes! That stinks! Anyone who would steal another mans guns is obviously on the wrong side of the law. There could be trouble from this. I hope your buddy made a police report so if something happens he will not be suspected.1 point
