  1. My son qualified for the Nassau County Wrestling Championship Tournament at Hofstra Universty this coming weekend. He worked his ass off this wrestling season, missed some hunting trips ( not without an argument) I am so proud of him. 5 of his teammates also qualified for their weight class. My son is 99#. Good luck to all these hard working boys !

  2. When I was ready to pay for my purchases of gun powder and bullets, the cashier said, “Strip down, facing me.” Making a mental note to complain to the NRA about the gun control wackos running amok, I did just as she had instructed. When the hysterical shrieking and alarms finally subsided, I found out that she was referring to how I should place my credit card in the card reader. I have been asked to shop elsewhere in the future. They need to make their instructions to seniors a little clearer….. Note to Mr VJP ---- It's a joke !

  3. I think this has more to do with his age than anything... remember how much more we knew about everything when we were 30 years old... I remember myself being the smartest man in the world back then... as I grew older my elders began seeming much smarter. LOL

  4. I took a massive dump and took a picture of it with my phone. I then stood in front of my wife staring at my phone with a puzzle look and then said "Man, this looks like crap." Knowing my nosy wife would take the bait, she said "What does? Let me see!" and took the phone from me to look.

  5. I asked my wife to get me a cup of coffee. She immediately starts complaining that she is always waiting on me. I say to her, "I am constantly waiting on you too". She replies, "When do you ever wait on me???" I said, I'm waiting right now for you to get me that cup of coffee... That's how the fight started! True Story!!

  6. Look into the Mossberg 835 (pump action) and the 935 (semi). The 835 runs around 550 and the 935 is around 650 or so. Both great turkey rigs…. 22 - 24" , back bored ported barrels with a few different camo choices. Both take up to a 3 1/2" shell. I have been using an 835 since the early 90's and love it. It has dumped a pile of Toms. Awesome patterns with 3 1/2" #4 0r #5. But then again everyone has their favorites.

  7. Field tips and I just bought a new target specifically for my xbow....damn thing wasn't cheap...i will have to try some lube on them and that's a great idea Grow I actually have some out in the shop I will be trying that....my arrows are burying themselves all the way to fetches at 20 yrds. I'm going to get another thinner target for in front of it to help stop them from ruining my fletching

  8. just go to the grocery store and buy one of those rubbery shelf liners...you can make many for less than one jar lid opener pad sells for...cut it in to squares ,circle what ever you like best...they grab the bolt and make it easier to remove...I use them for jar lid removers as well.

  9. I use one of those yellow jacket target bags for my Excalibur when shooting field points. The bolts can be pulled out with 2 fingers. I think the yellow jacket target bag was like $50-$60. For broadheads, I just a small cheap broadhead target like $15-$20. I use one hand to hold the target and the other to pull it out. This is my discharge target as well, so I shoot at like 10 yards at over 300fps. No issues. Shooting a field point into a broadhead target could make getting the bolt out very tough.

  10. NY DEC is on record stating AR's provided were for social benefit only. Is that a sound management practice is that what is really "important"?. I wonder if they move forward with a further AR expansion that they will change their official stance on it or if they need the survey data to support their current public stance?

  16. Yes it has ......for obviously you never actually read my original post...for you insist on referencing big business and not governmental emissions..and you apparently have a need to insert your personal business affairs as well....I now believe your " handle" is near perfect...for the spelling should be " Bellow "

  17. I think we should go back to the way that native Americans use to heat their homes… No way that could be bad for the environment. If Im not mistaken they use to burn air. ……..and their cattle never farted.

  18. It does have a big impact on new homes that want a stove, as well as any homeowner who decides they want to put one in, having never had one in the past. This goes on top of recent regulations defining what type of hot water heater you can now put in your home as well. If you need a new one, it will cost much more and be a lot bigger. Some of the new ones don't fit where the old one was. Remember the new light bulb mandate? Regulation is getting highly irregular.

  19. No one is going to come to my house and take my wood stove. That's not part of the deal. But when my wood stove needs to be replaced for whatever reason, sometime in the future, I won't have the option to buy a relatively inexpensive stove that will meet my needs. I will be forced to buy a relatively expensive stove that may or may not meet my needs, or simply give in to the way other people heat their homes. I would just like to have the option to purchase the wood stove that is best for me when that time comes. The EPA is trying to take that option away from me because there are several groups of people who would prefer that no one have a wood stove at all.

  20. People considered to be important BY WHO… is the whole problem. Pin headed actors, musicians, politicians and good test takers are, for some reason, touted out by the media and held in much higher regard than the average working class person.

  21. And George Soros will spend over a billion dollars on Democrats, Leftist Think Tanks and various progressive 527's bent on achieving his goal of a new world order. Philoshop was referring to money given directly to the scientific community by this administration and climate change advocates. http://www.thefederalistpapers.org/political-cartoon/global-temperature-data-falsified-for-years-to-show-warming-cartoon-reveals-why

  23. I'm thinking you meant to type Nixon, rather than Nikon. The EPA and it's policy-making mission were at one time a good and admirable thing. There were very few people against it. Hence it came to be. And they did a terrific job, doing what people wanted and expected them to do. The stated mission hasn't changed, but the agenda that is easily seen with a little scrutiny has changed dramatically. The long-term wants of a few are being legislated to take precedence over the immediate needs of the many. You may argue that humanity will be better off in the future because of everything that regulation does today, I've even been confronted with the argument that the sooner I die the better off the future will be. I countered that argument by asking, "Where will that thinking stop?".

  24. My understanding is that fireplaces will be exempt from the regulations. Politicritters like their fireplaces. Similar to the tobacco tax laws that exempted cigars and pipes. It's very important to not inconvenience the ruling class when making laws.

  26. Why would the leaders of this Leftist EPA push an agenda that supports big oil? They hate big oil and are doing everything they can to put them all out of business.

  28. We often misuse the term and apply it as a negative, when in fact it really is a very complimentary term. Elite- 1. (often used with a plural verb) the choice or best of anything considered collectively, as of a group or class of persons. 2. (used with a plural verb) persons of the highest class example: Only the elite were there. 3. a group of persons exercising the major share of authority or influence within a larger group. example: the power elite of a major political party. 4. representing the most choice or select; best example: an elite group of authors.
